Pigmentation Treatment at Zenith Nottingham

At Zenith Cosmetic Clinics in Nottingham, we offer the following types of treatment for skin pigmentation:

Enlighten Laser

We are lucky to be the only clinic, outside of London, with this revolutionary Laser. This laser not only treats pigmentation but scars, semi-permanent makeup and even tattoos. With the best results on the market, this laser is a perfect option.

Dermamelan Peel

This treatment is designed specifically to treat skin pigmentation disorders caused by imbalances in melanin. It offers incredible results for treating Melasma/Cholasma, sun damage, PIH and stubborn pigmentation caused by acne scarring.

Dermamelan has two phases: the application of a prescribed product at home for a given period of time, and then the Dermamelan peel at our Nottingham clinic.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are applied as a chemical solution which exfoliates the surface layers of skin, peeling them away. Newer, fresher skin is revealed in its place and natural healing processes are stimulated, causing healthier skin cells to grow. Stronger chemical peels are effective at treating hyper-pigmentation and mild Melasma.

Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation

This treatment uses lasers to even out variances in pigmentation. The laser light is absorbed by pigmented areas of skin and converted to heat energy. This causes the pigment to break up, at which point it is reabsorbed by the body.

Microdermabrasion

A chemical and laser-free treatment, microdermabrasion uses crystals to remove the outermost layer of skin. Dead skin cells are lifted away to allow new cells to grow, rejuvenating the skin and improving the appearance of pigmentation.

We encourage you to book a free consultation with one of our Nottingham skin specialists to determine the best course of treatment for you and your skin.

Side-effects of Pigmentation Treatment

Each of the treatments above will have their own risks and results, so it is important that you explore each one and speak to one of our specialists to find out which is suitable for your skin condition.

In some cases, you will need further treatment sessions in the future to maintain or strengthen results.

For peels, side effects often include temporary tightness, redness and flaking of the skin. Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation may cause redness, swelling and a temporary darkening of pigmented areas. Microdermabrasion has few side effects, other than temporary redness, but is perhaps the least effective treatment for pigmentation.
