Bump on nose
A bump on the nose, commonly known as a Nasal Bump, or more medically a Dorsal Hump, is usually seen around the bridge of the nose.

As the nose is the central feature of the face, we can sometimes feel self-conscious about any bumps or humps on our nose.
What is it and why do I have a bump on my nose?
The Dorsal hump is made from cartilage, bone or both and the size and shape vary from person to person. Sometimes it can continue towards the tip of the nose also, resulting in one nostril being bigger than the other or the septum being deviated. These can result from injury and poor healing or just the way tissues have formed.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (Nasal Fillers)
When the nose is relatively straight, but there is a small bump, this can be concealed by using Dermal Fillers along the nasal bridge.
These Fillers can be used to fill in the cavity above the bump so that the nose is straighter from a side profile and can also give the nose a more natural curve, if desired.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty is not a permanent solution; however, it is much more affordable and depending on your specific concerns, will still create fantastic results!
Surgical Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)
Sometimes the bump on the nose causes it to deviated sideways which can create a ‘wonky’ appearance from front-on, especially if the tip of the nose is deviated, or there are issues with breathing and/or snoring, we would then advise taking the surgical route Surgical Rhinoplasty.
Surgical Rhinoplasty, more commonly known as a ‘Nose Job’ is performed under a light general anaesthetic, meaning you are put to sleep and wake up with the defect corrected. During this surgical procedure, the nose is often broken and remodelled to remove bumps, humps and bends to eliminate your concerns and create the desired outcome. A brace, or cast, is added in surgery to aid with healing after your operation and is then removed after a week or so.
