Neck Lift for Men

There are many surgical and non-surgical treatments that we offer to reduce the look of these signs, and a Neck Lift is one of the most popular for men.

Surgical Men’s Neck Lift

Surgical Neck Lift, also known as Platysmaplasty, is a surgical procedure in which any loose skin along the jawline and on the neck itself is removed. This procedure is extremely effective for men at treating turkey neck, also known as a heavy neck.

The final result gives men a smoother, wrinkle free neck and jaw line and an overall rejuvenated youthful appearance. This procedure can also be used to remove excess skin following substantial weight loss or reduction of skin elasticity due to genetics, sun damage or treatment for illness.

Non-Surgical NeckTite/AccuTite

NeckTite™ and AccuTite™ for men works in the exact same way as BodyTite™, by gently melting away the fat inside the area and tightening the outer skin at the same time. The fat cells ‘pop’ due to the heat generated by the NeckTite™ hand-piece, which is smaller than the one used for BodyTite™ as this is a smaller, more precise area. The heat from the hand-piece also causes the collagen in our skin, and in the fatty tissue, to tighten and shrink the area.

Why do men have neck lifts and what are the benefits?

  • Increased confidence and self esteem
  • Rejuvenated appearance
  • Physical transformation, which can take years off your appearance
  • Improved shape to neck and jaw area
  • Smoothes skin
  • Short recovery period
  • Best way to remove excess skin around the neck and jaw area
  • Contours the chin and jawline

What happens before a male neck lift?

You will meet with your Doctor/Surgeon and Surgical Coordinator before your treatment which will help you to feel comfortable and safe. During your initial consultation, you will be assessed to see your suitability for the procedure and to discuss the possible risks and complications. From that you will then be asked to sign a patient consent form.

For surgical treatment, you will need to attend a pre-operative assessment between 2-5 weeks prior to your surgery. This is where you will come and meet us again to go through your medical history, take your measurements (height, weight, BMI) and perform a Bloods and MRSA test to ensure you are fit for surgery.

What happens during the male Neck Lift procedure?

Depending on the patient’s individual needs, we offer two different techniques to perform the neck Lift Surgery:

Platysmaplasty is performed to correct wattles or vertical bands.

How does this technique work?

Small incisions are made behind the ears or under the chin. Specific neck muscles are then removed to tighten the middle park of the neck.

Cervicoplasty is used to address floppy and sagging skin.

How does this technique work?

Incisions are made under the chin or behind the skin. This is then trimmed and secured in place with the help of dissolvable stitches or sutures.

What happens after the procedure?

Neck Lift surgery is a day case procedure so you’ll be able to leave after your procedure. Post-Surgery a compression bandage will be wrapped around your neck and head, which will need to be worn for a week. You will get bruising and swelling which will show up around the neck area over the following couple days post-surgery. This swelling and bruising may feel tight but is nothing to worry about. We offer a 24/7 aftercare service to ensure your post care is comprehensive.

FAQs

With any surgical procedure there can be chances of side effects however our surgeon will talk through any queries you have regarding post treatment and aftercare.

Neck Lifts are perfect for men with sagging necks, and loss of definition around the neckline and jaw, who are wanting to create a more youthful appearance. If you are unsure about your eligibility for this treatment you will be able to discuss further with the surgeon who will cover the whole procedure and any queries with you in your consultation.

Most men, who have this procedure, tend to be over 40. However, there isn’t a correct age to have this procedure. It all depends on when you feel that you need this done.

This procedure alone can be effective in making men look younger, but is often combined with [Face Lift Hyperlink] and [Liposuction] surgery in order to create a younger overall appearance. In some cases Neck Lift Surgery can be enhanced with [Filler Hyperlink]. The Surgeon will recommend the best procedure or combination of procedures for you depending on the results you wish to achieve.
