Hair loss is something that can run in the family but there are also some cases of temporary hair loss which can be caused by:

  • Weight loss

FAQ’s

What medical conditions cause hair loss?

  • Cancer
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Arthritis
  • Depression
  • Heart Problems

Why does hair fall out?

There are many different reasons why hair may fall out, can be hormonal changes, medical conditions, or just ageing. Hair loss most commonly occurs in men, especially baldness.

What do I need to look out for?

  • You are noticing a lot more hair on you bedding
  • Noticing more of your scalp
  • More hair comes out when you brush it
  • Parting looks wider than normal

How many hairs a day do you lose?

It all depends from person to person but it is normal to lose between 50-100 hairs a day.

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a proven hair loss treatment that can regenerate and promote hair growth by using your own plasma and growth factors to target areas of hair loss.

Do PRP Injections Hurt?

Over the last few years, we have refined the method of injecting PRP into the scalp so that most people do not find it uncomfortable at all.

Can PRP Rejuvenation regrow hair?

Yes absolutely, as long as the hair root (follicle) is still present then the hair will start to regrow when stimulated. PRP is now recognised as a very effective treatment for hair loss and is universally used following hair transplants to encourage the hair to grow.

If the skin on the balding area has become shiny and all hair follicles have died, then other treatments are more useful. PRP is a stimulant treatment and cannot create hair follicles but can dramatically help and rejuvenate existing follicles and increase thickness giving an overall appearance of longer and thicker hair correcting thinning and balding areas.

How long does PRP last?

This needs careful assessment and depends on the severity of the original Hair Loss and the results desired. With men, having the treatments every 3-4 months is beneficial.

This will all be discussed with you during your consultation and be listed in your bespoke Treatment Plan after discussing your needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Is PRP Safe?

Absolutely, there are no significant risks using PRP on the scalp.
