What is HIFU treatment?

HIFU, or High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, is a non-surgical treatment that uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the skin’s deeper layers. This promotes a gradual lifting and tightening effect, especially on the face and neck.

Is HIFU safe for all skin types?

HIFU is generally safe for most skin types. However, a full consultation is essential to determine your suitability. Our clinicians will assess your skin and medical history to ensure HIFU is the right option for you.

What does HIFU feel like during treatment?

Patients typically describe the sensation as a warm or tingling feeling beneath the skin. Some areas may be more sensitive, but any discomfort is usually mild and short-lived.

When will I see results from HIFU?

Some people notice an immediate tightening effect, but the most visible results develop over 2 to 3 months as new collagen forms. Results vary depending on individual skin response.

Are HIFU results permanent?

HIFU results are long-lasting but not permanent. As natural ageing continues, maintenance treatments every 12 to 18 months may help sustain your results.

Treatment

During the treatment, a handheld device delivers focused ultrasound energy to targeted skin layers. Sessions typically last between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the area treated.

Post-Treatment

There’s no required downtime. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness, which usually subsides within a few hours to a few days. We’ll provide full aftercare instructions to support your recovery.
