Café au Lait patches are flat, pigmented birthmarks are often harmless.
The name “Café au Lait” literally translates from French into “coffee with milk” and refers to their light-brown colour.
Can Café au Lait Birthmarks Be Removed?
Removal and treatment results are unpredictable, with significant recurrence if a Laser is used. On occasion, excision can be used if the patches are small enough.
