How Are Thread Veins Treated?

Some cooling gel is applied to the leg and the laser light is fired in to the veins. The light is tuned to a specific colour so that it is absorbed by the leg thread veins. The veins absorb the light and it turns in to heat which causes the vein to collapse and often disappear completely.

One can choose to wear a compression garment for a week or so after the treatment to improve results.

Our Clinical Therapist will need to assess your veins in a consultation before deciding on a course of treatment that will get the best results. They will stand you up to see if the veins become more prominent in this position, or if you have obvious Varicose Veins.

If this is the case, the Varicose Veins will need to be treated first, before the Thread Veins, as treating Varicose Veins often can in-turn make the Thread Veins even worse.
