LASER MOLE REMOVAL

What can Cutera laser treatment be used for?

  • Skin revitalization – erasing lines and wrinkles
  • Skin resurfacing
  • Treating pigmented lesions
  • Erasing brown spots and age spots
  • Treating sun damage
  • Treating melasma and hyperpigmentation
  • Tattoo removal
  • Treating Rosacea, flushing and broken capillaries

How does Cutera laser treatment work?

Cutera laser treatment uses advanced pico technology that can be customized to suit any skin type.

The laser can be set at three fully-integrated laser wavelengths – 532 nm, 1064 nm and 670 nm – including the first true-red picosecond wavelength.

Cutera uses two wavelengths at one time and can be adjusted around the skin type and condition being treated.

Similarly, the pulse durations can be adjusted between 2 nanoseconds and the ultra-short 750/660 picoseconds, for gentle, effective and quick improvements in overall skin quality.

The treatment selectively induces dermal disruption, shattering pigment and collapsing unwanted blood vessels, remodelling the skin. Revitalization is achieved through the stimulation of collagen production, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

What does Cutera laser treatment entail at Zenith Nottingham?

First, you will have an initial consultation with us, during which you can get to know us a bit better and we can come up with a course of treatment to suit your needs.

On the day of treatment, the Cutera laser procedure will last around 15 minutes per treatment area.

You may experience a tingling or heating sensation as the device passes over your skin, but it should not be painful and does not require any anaesthesia.

Results

You will begin to see improvements after the first treatment, but results will become more visible with each session you undergo.

The increased collagen synthesis can cause improvements over a course of three months following treatment.

Aftercare

Mild redness and swelling are common side-effects for a few days following Cutera, but these can easily be controlled with over-the-counter pain killers.

The skin in the treatment area will likely darken and peel slightly before growing lighter in tone after a week to ten days. Hair growth may be impaired in the treated area for a time.

Moisturizer with SPF25 sun block should be applied daily to help prevent additional sun damage. Some products, such as Ginkgo Biloba and St John’s Wort, should be avoided before treatment.

Cutera is unique among laser treatments partially due to the fact that it has very few side-effects and causes little discomfort.
