Crystal Fat Freezing Nottingham

How does crystal fat freezing work?
Crystal fat freezing quite literally freezes your fat. Fat cells, or adipocytes, find it more difficult to survive at sub-zero temperatures in comparison to other body cells.
Cryolipolysis uses temperatures of between -5 to -9°C to crystallise the adipocytes. They die off and are removed naturally by the lymphatic system in the weeks following treatment.
The surrounding tissue is unaffected by the cold and remains healthy. In the absence of fat cells the other cells condense, causing you to appear slimmer and accentuating your curves.
Due to the fat cells being eliminated, the treatment is permanent. We recommend that you maintain healthy habits to ensure that fat does not build up again.
Both the Cristal and CoolSculpting machines work slightly differently despite the underlying theory being the same. Your individual circumstances will dictate the course of treatment that will achieve your desired results. CRISTAL® Coolsculpting – Fat Freezing at Zenith Nottingham
Consultation
The first step is to book a consultation with Zenith Nottingham. During this session, we can discuss the results you wish to achieve and whether crystal fat freezing is the right way to achieve them. Then, together, we can draw up a treatment plan based on your goals and realistic expectations; for most patients, this will involve between one and two treatment sessions. Your physician will need to measure areas of fat in able to advise on the treatment parameters.
Procedure
The treatment itself requires no anaesthesia to perform. Your physician will place a cryo protective gel pad on the treatment area. The appropriate fat freezing device will then be applied. The device uses suction to gently pull the fat fold further into the machine so that it can be cooled.
Generally, crystal fat freezing can be completed in no more than 60 minutes per fold of fat. During this time, we try to provide a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere at our Nottingham clinic. You can read, listen to music, or watch television while the machine does its job.
You may experience slight pinching and pulling sensations at first, but these quickly subside as the area grows numb. The discomfort associated with this treatment is very low, but we can reassure you and put appropriate measures in place if you’re worried.
There is no downtime after the procedure and you can resume your normal routine straight away; even exercise.
Results
Results will continue to develop over a 6-8 week period as the body reabsorbs the dead fat cells. Roughly 20-30% of the fat treated is eliminated, enabling you to enjoy your considerably more defined curves.
There may be several temporary side effects of the treatment, but these will recede in time. They include: itching, bruising, redness, swelling and tenderness, stinging or tingling, cramps or spasms, numbness, and slight nausea.
