How BodyTite Works at Zenith, Nottingham

The first stage of the BodyTite process is to set up a consultation. During this time, you can discuss your expectations and any concerns with one of our qualified aesthetic technicians. They can advise you on the best method of achieving your desired results based on your personal circumstances.

The Procedure

One of our friendly clinicians will meet you upon arrival at Zenith Nottingham. They will ask you to fill out some consent forms and guide you to the operating theatre.

Dr Maini is likely to be the specialist performing this procedure. Once you feel comfortable to begin, he will mark out the area to be treated; clean it; and apply a local anaesthetic to numb any potential discomfort.

BodyTite involves the insertion of a hollow tube, or cannula, beneath the skin. Excess fat and fluids are drained out of the body via this method. To insert the cannula, 3mm incision marks must be made around the treatment area. The local anaesthetic should prevent you from feeling any pain.

Treatment of each target area may take between 5 and 15 minutes. At the end of the treatment, the incisions will be cleaned and dressed.

Results and Recovery

At Zenith Nottingham, we recommend 3 days of downtime before you return to work. We provide a daily follow up service during your recovery so that you receive the support you need.

We will supply you with painkillers and a pressure garment to help manage any discomfort post-procedure.

After effects include redness, swelling, bruising and skin sensitivity in the treatment area. These should be short-lived, though it can take up to two weeks for soreness to fully disappear.

In some cases, skin tone may grow lighter or darker. This could take up to 3 weeks to even out.

Overall, 90% of our patients are satisfied with BodyTite treatment.

Immediate results can be seen after treatment that will only get better as the weeks go on. Some fat cells die instantly when BodyTite is performed; others take a matter of weeks to break down. As this happens and the swelling decreases, results will become more pronounced.

Week 3 of your recovery may cause some concerns, as the skin tends to become slightly uneven at this point. The skin then takes 3-9 months to become smooth again, but will usually still look much better than before.

Although results from BodyTite are permanent, you should continue to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle in order to prevent putting weight back on.
