What is lipofilling?
Lipofilling, also known as autologous fat transfer or fat grafting, involves removing fat from one part of the body and injecting it into another to restore lost volume or improve shape. This natural approach uses your own fat instead of implants or synthetic fillers.
Who is a suitable candidate?
You may be a good candidate if you have areas of unwanted fat and wish to enhance volume in other areas, such as the face, breasts, or hands. A personalised consultation will help determine your suitability based on your goals and medical history.
How long do fat injections last?
Fat transfer results can be long-lasting, but some of the injected fat may be reabsorbed by the body. Results typically stabilise after a few months, and touch-up treatments may be suggested to achieve your desired outcome.
What is recovery like?
Recovery depends on the areas treated but generally involves mild swelling and bruising. Most people return to light activities within a few days. Full recovery may take a few weeks based on the extent of the procedure.
Are there risks with fat graft surgery?
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks. With lipofilling, these may include swelling, bruising, uneven results, or partial fat reabsorption. Your surgeon will explain all potential risks and how they are managed in your case.
The Process
Pre-Treatment
