Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

At Zenith Cosmetic Clinics we’re proud to offer Aqualyx, a revolutionary fat loss treatment. We understand how dis-hearting it can be when you’ve put your all into weight loss, but you’re left with stubborn pockets of fat that won’t shift. Used as an alternative to liposuction, Aqualyx is a solution injected into stubborn areas of fat to dissolve them. It's great at targeting areas such as the chin, stomach, love handles and male chest, as well as the inner and outer thighs. Find out more about what’s involved in fat dissolving injections below, and learn why our patients love this fat loss treatment so much.

What is Aqualyx?

Aqualyx is an injectable treatment of cholanic acid sodium salts, a complex solution of a deoxycholic acid solution. This solution is then injected into various parts of your body to help dissolve fat, think of it as a weight loss injection. It's also considerably less invasive than surgery and offers less downtime, making it a popular option for many.

However, it is important to note that Aqualyx injections are a body contouring treatment and not a weight loss solution. This treatment targets pockets of stubborn fat that fail to shift through exercise alone. We have experienced doctors at both our Nottingham and London clinics that have been trained to carry out this advanced treatment, why not book your consultation today?

How Does Aqualyx Dissolve Fat?

So how do these revolutionary fat loss injections work? Aqualyx is injected into the treatment area, and as a result, the cell membranes are broken down in order to liquify the fat cell. We then apply an ultrasound device over the skin’s surface to encourage the movement of the liquids both within and surrounding the fat cells. Your fat cells then begin to expand and break up, releasing the lipids that are then destroyed naturally through the body’s lymphatic system.

Who Are These Weight Loss Injections Suitable For?

Aqualyx is perfect for patients aged between 18 and 60 who do not want the more invasive liposuction or laser lipo treatment and do not have large amounts of fat to remove. It’s ideal for people who maintain a healthy lifestyle, through good eating and regular exercise but have fat that won’t shift, even with targeted exercise. Our experienced practitioners will assess your suitability for this treatment during your consultation so that we can make sure that Aqualyx is the right treatment for you.

Who is the Treatment Not Suitable For?

It is not suitable for anyone that is pregnant or breastfeeding or for those suffering from lipodystrophy. It is most effective for men and women who have stubborn fat deposits but it is not suitable for people who are clinically overweight, or who have loose skin. BodyTite is the best option to tighten the skin.

Fat Dissolving Injections Results

A reduction in fat deposits can be seen after just one treatment, however, additional sessions are required to see the optimal effect.

The treatment will be repeated between two and eight times depending on the number of small pockets of fat tissue to be reduced - the injections are repeated every three to four weeks. The speed at which results are seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes; younger patients are more likely to see results after a longer period.
