      How do I know if a mole needs to be checked?

      If a mole changes in size, shape, colour, or starts to itch, bleed, or crust, it’s important to have it examined by a medical professional.

      Can a mole on my face be removed?

      Yes, facial moles can often be removed for medical or cosmetic reasons. We’ll assess the mole and recommend the safest, most suitable options for you.

      What is an intradermal naevus?

      An intradermal naevus is a type of mole located in the deeper layers of the skin. It’s usually harmless, but we’re happy to assess it if you have concerns.

      Is mole removal painful?

      Mole removal is typically done under local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. Some mild discomfort afterwards is normal and manageable.

      Will mole removal leave a scar?

      Some scarring is possible, but we take care to minimise it, especially on visible areas like the face. We’ll explain what to expect based on your specific treatment.
