What Is Fractora?

How does tighter and more youthful skin on your face and neck without the need for surgery and downtime sound? Zenith Cosmetic Clinics is proud to offer fractora, a non-surgical facelift alternative that uses laser skin resurfacing and tightening methods to leave the skin looking and feeling younger. This facial laser resurfacing procedure could be perfect for you if you’re noticing the signs of ageing, and you want to bring back a complexion which looks and feels healthier.

How does Fractora, the acne scaring facial treatment work?

By utilising radiofrequency, Fractora targets and heats certain cells within the skin. This makes the brain think the area has been damaged, which in response starts a repair process caused by a natural uplift in collagen and elastin producing cells in the skin. The results of the Fractora treatment are long lasting, achieving a smoother, healthier and more youthful appearance for the skin.

This repair process causes the collagen fibres in the skin to start working and increases the metabolism of the collagen-producing cells within the skin, which in turn creates more collagen fibres. Collagen is a protein within the body which provides structure to the skin, so when you increase collagen production, you help the skin to look and it's most healthy and youthful.

What Happens During the Fractora Procedure?

Beforehand, an anaesthetic cream is used to numb the area. Our senior doctor then performs the treatment, with it typically lasting an hour. Very minimal noticeable feeling is reported throughout.

We recommend 2-3 treatments in order to see the best results. However, this may vary depending on your skin’s current state, and what you wish to achieve.

Fractora Results & Recovery

You will notice a deep tightening effect on the skin, and increased tautness around the jawline area, cheeks and neck. Following treatment, as your skin heals, it will be more sensitive to the sun, so you will need to use sunscreen for at least a month after treatment. The risk of side effects is very low.

Frequently asked questions

How do I prepare for the treatment?

There is nothing, in particular, you need to do to prepare for your fractora treatment. We’ll talk everything through with you in detail when you come in for a consultation with us at the clinic.

When can I return to work?

This will depend on how sensitive your skin is, and how long your skin takes to heal. Generally, we would advise taking a few days off work to make sure your skin has properly begun the healing process.

Will fractora hurt?

Patients report a prickling sensation as the fractora procedure is conducted, rather than a painful sensation.

Can Fractora be combined with other treatments?

Yes! We can carry out treatments very close together so that we can most effectively achieve your desired results. We can chat through all the suitable treatments for you during your consultation.
