What Are Skin Peels?

Skin peels utilise various acids, enzymes and other active ingredients to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skins cells, whilst simultaneously stimulating the growth of new skin cells. The overall goal of skin peels is to encourage collagen production, which reveals brighter, clearer and more rejuvenated skin.

There is a range of skin peel treatments that have been developed to target specific issues with the skin. So whilst all skin peels will reveal smoother and brighter skin, there are treatments designed to help everything from UV damage to acne, dry or oily skin as well as reducing the signs of ageing. Facial peels are perfect if you’re looking to give your skin some TLC, as well as address underlying skin problems. Arrange your consultation with us so that we can discuss which face peel treatments are best for you.

How Do Skin Peels & Chemical Peels Work?

There are 3 main types of peels; superficial, medium and deep, ranging in strength and therefore will have a different effect on your skin. After a thorough cleanse, a non-toxic chemical solution of acids and enzymes, based on the desired strength, is applied to your skin to exfoliate and encourage skin cell regeneration. The treatments also stimulate natural collagen production in the skin, which helps combat fine lines and wrinkles; helping you to appear visibly younger. Based on a unique blend, skin peels can also help treat other skin conditions.
