What is the 8 Point Facelift?
Developed by Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr Mauricio de Maio, the 8 Point Lift is a set of guidelines that allow for accurate and predictable 'lifting' of your facial features using dermal fillers.
What is the procedure used for?
The procedure is designed to replace the lost soft tissue under the skin and therefore give you back the youthful skin you once had. It will give you a very natural result; brightening your skin and improving your facial structure including jowls and jawline, lines wrinkles and creases.
Who is this treatment suitable for?
The 8 Point Face lift is suitable for patients wanting to rejuvenate their appearance but do not want to commit to a surgical procedure. Typically most patients tend to be 35 years+ and have noticed a loss of volume and structure to their face with some sagging. Patients must have a full consultation prior to having this treatment to discuss what they can expect, their medical history and if the procedure is suitable for them.
What happens during the procedure?
The 8 Point Facelift is tailored to each individual. Dr Maini will look at your face to identify the natural structures, and therefore where he should apply the filler to enhance, rejuvenate and restore your natural beauty. Dr Maini will mark your face before injecting the filler to ensure he gets the most accurate and natural results possible.
What are the side effects or risks?
Dermal fillers have been used for years and very rarely have adverse side effects. However, you can expect:
- A small amount of bruising or swelling
- Redness at the needle entry points
What results can I typically expect?
The treatment is performed with dermal fillers, so the results are immediate. However, full benefits can be expected to be visible within 1-2 weeks post procedure. Results will continue to improve for a couple of months as the product settles. To give a general guideline, fillers last between nine and 18 months.
Before your procedure
You will meet with Dr Maini for around 30 minutes to discuss your treatment and what results you are hoping to see.
There is very little downtime after having filler injected and you can usually return to normal activities straight away.
